Update here. I have been using those 3 euros free shipping ESCs with decent results, but I also tried this dual ESC:

AliExpress Dual Way Bidirectional 20A ESC

Works good, more smooth that those cheap small mini ESCs... So the wiki can be updated, now this dual ESC have been tested with the TCB.  :)

Great to know, thanks for reporting back! I updated the Wiki.

There are now really a large number of viable and especially inexpensive motor control options, even without the Scout.

There are indeed quite a lot of options there. I really paid like 3 euros for each ESC, so for 6 euros you can have the tank running. It is a nice deal even for extreme cheapskates like me, lol. Also another good thing of those mini ESCs, is the neat and compact package you can make.

Hi, I have modified my TCB setup a little bit.

The cheap two small ESCs worked well, but with some issues. Perfectly from medium to full throttle, but not so good when driving at the slower speeds. One motor seemed to work faster than the other, and it was very very noticeable when driving at crawling speeds. The slower the speed, the more noticeable it was.

So I decided to give another try to the bangood dual motor controller, and I replaced the small two ESCs and fitted the DMD between the TCB and the soundboard. The 16 receiver is there too.

I have been driving like an hour or so, and I did not notice any heat, so it looks to be safe. Also no signal loss, but of course the tanks are always near you, is not like you are doing long distance FPV flying...

After installing them, the problem of one motor going faster than the other was gone. The super low speed is not the best feature of this DMD, but it is a little better than with the mini ESCs.

And warning! For those that wont read the Wiki, dont forget to remove the red wire from the DMD!

Good grief, you can barely even see that ESC in there. That makes for a very compact package!
