Direct Connection with USB Cable

Before you attempt to connect to the TCB, first make sure you have installed the correct USB drivers.

Although the TCB is capable of communicating wirelessly over Bluetooth, it is better to connect it directly to the computer with a cable for the first time to confirm that everything is working correctly. The TCB uses a standard Micro-B USB cable such as you may use for your camera, phone, or tablet.

Connection Methods

There are two ways to connect to the TCB: directly with a Micro-B USB cable, or via Bluetooth using an adapter on the Serial 1 connector. Dipswitch #5 on the TCB determines which port it will attempt to communicate over. If Dipswitch #5 is in the On position, it will communicate over USB; if Off then communication will take place over the Serial 1 port.

[File settings]

The TCB has many settings and once you have your radio and tank setup just the way you like it, you may want to save these settings to a file for backup. You may also want to install a second TCB into another model, and using a settings file from a previous model can be a good starting point.
