Sabertooth 12x12 RC
« on: April 02, 2026, 11:10:23 AM »
Just a quick double check..if I use the RC version of the sabertooth ..I can just plug the CH 1 and CH 2 in the TCB just as they are correct? No need to eliminate a wire per the warning about esc.

Hi Tom, in fact yes you do still need to remove the positive terminal from the servo cables if you are using the RC version of the Sabertooth. The RC connections on the RC Sabertooth provide +5 volt power, they are thinking you would normally connect those to an RC receiver and that way the Sabertooth could provide power to your receiver. But since you are connecting to the TCB, and the TCB already has its own 5 volt supply, the two would be fighting each other if you connected them, and you risk burning something up.

So you can still use it, but just remove the positive wire from the connections (leaving only ground and signal).
