Open Panzer Help / Heng Long IR upper Hull to TCB

Hi

I have a IR upper hull with a recoil and I am trying to work out the best way to wire it up, at first I thought the Taigen set would be the same but I have a two stage micro switch, is the extra part a signal for the IR?
If so should I wire it up the same as a taigen and leave the extra wire from the second stage of the switch for the IR?

Also, how do I activate the motor b on the TCB? Im pretty sure I have it set up right but I don't get any power from it.

Open Panzer Help / Open Panzer TCB Scout and Sound for a Stug Build - In Red!

Hi all

Just going to document my three boards that I will assemble for my Stug build.

I have a TCB from Hobby King so that I can use it as a benchmark to test the Scout and Sound boards but I will build my own TCB just because I want to, the cost of components is about the same as the HK one to buy but the three boards will all be RED and build by myself which is the main reason for doing it.

Three boards are here along with all the components from DigiKey, just need a few odd bits like the heatsinks to finish them.

Will post progress report as I go and ask for help if I get stuck.

Show and Tell / Finnish Stug III Ausf G Project

Hi all

thought I would share my first Tank project here with you all since I'm going to be using OP electronics in it.

Basics:
Heng Long Sturmgesschutz III Ausf.G Sd.Kfz.142/1 Kit #3868-1 (Infrared Version)
Open Panzer TCB (Via Hobbie King)
Open Panzer Scout ESC (building myself with PCB from Seeed/Components fron Digi-Key)
Open Panzer Sound (building myself with PCB from Seeed/Components fron Digi-Key)
Metal tracks, road wheels, new smoker and couple other detail parts from TankArmy.com (Australian supplier)

I found this Kit at a Model Display meeting near where I live and thought I would turn this toy into a Model, then I found Open Panzer ...

I haven't taken any photos of the standard model as I'm sure you have seen a grey Stug before.
I'm doing a Finnish Army version as they are a little different and I found a site with a lot of History and photos of actual tanks http://www.andreaslarka.net/
I airbrushed the Green base coat then painted the Brown and grey by hand (grey looks white but its Camo Grey best match I could get to the photos)

Actual tanks:
I am using this one for my inspiration (not an exact copy) as there are more detailed photos available for this particular one, and a full history on the tank, it racked up 9 confirmed tanks destroyed!

Progress with Paint:

Next step is the weathering process,

I will do a separate Topic for the electronics in the correct place soon as I'm still waiting for the PCB's to arrive.

Open Panzer Help / Current status of the TCB and Sound Card

Hi, sorry if this is the wrong place but new here and like the look of what I see

1st Question: I can buy an OpenPanzer TCB from Hobby King as they have stock availability but just want to know about the status of the boards with the mention of errors in some components and if they will actually work.

2nd Question: If I do get a TCB when or where can I get a sound Card from you? I have seen them in peoples builds, are they available or are these prototypes?

Looking forward to turning my toy into a model with this system.
