Problem solved. Motor speed needed to be set at 100% and any speed change has to be done with the transmitter.

Yes l12s 12v is what we have. I have l16r for my elevation and that’s works great with pan effect.

From previous email response with action is
“                    Sounds like you want to emulate a hydraulic system, so the "R" series are not what you need.  As you have noticed they will directly follow the stick position. If you use one of our "S '' series actuators with a brushed reversible speed controller the actuator will only move when the stick is either side of center, much like hydraulic controls.”

I thought it would work just fine, I have tried with full stick and no different.

Confused.

For my turret rotation (slew on the 1/6 jagdtiger) I am using an actuonics linear actuator 12v. I cannot get it to work from the A or B outputs.

TCB is fed with 12v linear actuator is 12v, I can test the A and B outputs with a 12V LED and it works perfectly, but the linear actuator will not operate.
I can directly power the actuator and it works fine, what am I missing.
Specs if it helps.

Just about to try this idea, I’d like to keep OP in the system so Beier is only controlling sounds and some basic function.
The way I see it:
Prop 1 and 2 are easy and should give movement sound.
Prop 3 from OP, does this output different switch values for the gun, mg and other sounds, if it does I just need to work out how Beier reads these values.
If not then the OP outputs for elevation,traverse and recoil could be used as inputs on the Beier for sounds by using a y cable.
Mg this is an unknown until I test.
Lights, OP output to Beier input and then sound and light from Beier.

Any input would be appreciated.

I’m starting a new 1/6 build, an Armortek Jagdtiger. I’m looking for better sound and looking into Beier. Can openpanzer be used with the Beier sound modules.

I now have a really good working muzzle flash using 12v LED indicator bulbs from a car wired to a 5v triggered relay that switches through the Aux output on the TCB the 12v input from the tank. Gave it a 400ms time and looks really good.

Spend the whole day trying to sort this out.

Save sound files to 8bit 22050 in Audacity works.

We now have sound files uploaded and working, but not impressive, different yes, better not so sure its better. I cannot get the transitions to work, engine start to idle and idle to running etc just don't flow correctly. How do they work on the OP sound card?

Ill spend some more time on this, but think I'm lost.

I can also swap my mini from the king tiger for the v2 that’s in the t34 so 16 bit is ok.

I’ll try it and report back.

Luke Audacity will export to 16 bit but Benedini needs 8bit or I think it does. Will check tomorrow when I can upload to tank.

Thanks, I have looked at that file and audacity but i can only get it to a 16bit WAV. Ill look again.

Not sure if the correct forum so please move if not.

In the 1/6 king tiger i have a benedini mini with 2x60w amplifier running from 24v and a pr of good 5" speakers (JBL) in an enclosure to improve the sound.

I find the sound lacking although better than the old speakers with no box, Ive tested using multiple different speaker configurations and none are amazing.

The benedini sound files are OK but things like startup are too fast and the gun shots are not great.

Any suggestions on how to improve the sounds? Im thinking custom sound files but cant find any suitable sounds. Or change sound card to an alternative.

Any ideas appreciated.

Luke the linear servo works perfectly apart from when initially powering up it returns to the middle position, not a huge deal.

Thanks Luke, all working as it should now.

I prefer the 2nd sound set but the gun sounds are lacking in all the benedini sounds so custom sound files are next on my hit list.

May try the openpanzer sound if I can get my head around whats needed.

We have a similar problem to this one.

TBS mini V1 the sound files load, and the prop files from the wiki load but the parameters file doesn't load and reports an error. on our mini V2 it works fine.
Firmware is up to date.
Do we have to load the parameters manually on the V1?

Also there are 3 different king tiger files are listed under the TCB what are the differences?
