Title: Track Squeek
Post by: Tom on May 01, 2026, 10:43:29 AM
Hi Luke,

I have used squeek settings and were working before. For some reason they are not triggering now.
I have the sounds in 12 13 14 slots on the TBS. And checked squeek enabled.

Not sure why?

Working. I had another board that had been working with squeak sounds and downloaded that setting that onto this TCB and it works but I still don't see why the other setting..the one I sent.. wasn't triggering in those sounds:) The TBS mini is the same and squeak settings set to on. Odd to me, but at least it works:)

Well you could try comparing the two TCB settings in OP Config to see if there is anything different between them...

Didn't seem to be any difference in anything that would affect that but it was "something" so glad they both activate the squeeks now

Though I do notice that often the effect stops after 30 seconds or so then when the  tank stops and movement starts , the sounds activates again

There are several reasons why you might not always hear the squeaks. First of all, in your OPZ file, the minimum speed before squeaks start is 50%, so if you are driving at less than half speed they will stop, and it will take several seconds before they resume when your speed once again exceeds that level.

Additionally, the Benedini can only play one sound at a time from the "1st Coder" bank. If the turret is being moved, or the machine gun being fired, etc..., then those will prevent the squeaks from occuring.

Thanks Luke,

Let me play around with it more. I used to have it at 10 but when looking at it recently the % sign is hardly visible, so I was thinking MS instead.

It was no seeing the% sign and thinking it was ml seconds lol. So 90% was guaranteed not to trigger squeaks.

Sounds like you found the issue!
