Title: GPS?
Post by: Bbk on July 13, 2017, 08:37:24 AM
Hey, guys - just saw the HobbyKing email and am pretty stoked to hear of this board. I've been using Arduino based setups in my rovers (Ardupilot type with ATMega 2650) or PX-4 (Pixhawk) based setups and killing myself hooking up DC motor drivers, brushed and brushless ESCs, etc...this thing seems great!

My main question is can I hook up GPS to it for navigation? Secondary questions are about what the hardware setup is (unable to find it) and if it will connect with Mission Planner.

Thanks!

Bbk, you need to read the Wiki.

As for using a GPS with this, yes theoretically anything is possible - if you want to write the code. As-is navigation is not one of the features nor does this interface in any way with APM, that is a completely different product.

If you want navigation / autonomy for tanks you really need to be using something like APM:Rover (http://ardupilot.org/rover/).
