I have looked at some Chinese companies who could do the whole thing and the per-unit price was predicted to be around 50~ euro except they only sold in quantities of five or more.

attached a Soundfile from the Saumur-Kingtiger recorded last year May at Overloon
Sounds very nice, i will start to cut it up in pieces with Audacity! I really like the startup and idle.. Much better than the IBU soundfiles i got now..

To get the sound-set discussion going again, i created a new sound set for the Kingtiger.. i will post it in the Repo.. Here is a small sample: Now i got the reflowing of the soundcards down, i will start creating more soundsets... Tell me what you think and what would sound better!

Luke, i have the idea that i asked this before (and you probably answered) but is it possible to have different "reloaded" sounds?
My commander yells "Gun reloaded" all the time, this gets boring in time.. Maybe there can be multiple sounds like "next target" that can be chosen randomly?

I finally got to reflowing the Open Sound Cards.. Quite easy actually with a stencil and reflow oven! The biggest challenge is orienting the led's in the right way! But even with my old eyes (without glasses  ) i managed to position all parts in the right way! (i know, some ar upside-down).. I will take care with the next ones in the series! Still 10 to go! Next up is the Scout! *edit: pictures as attachments..

The complete project is put in the fridge for a while.. Too much work on other Openpanzer controlled Tanks for customers. I will start posting when i have time available again! Cheers, John

If you ever build a TCB/TBS holder for a Sherman (Taigen, HL, Tamiya) let me know, I could use one of those too.

Not exactly "tomorrow" but better late than never! I recently got a lot of people asking about upgrading their Torro tanks to TCB board.. So i was quite busy lately.. Here one example of a Tiger 1 full metal from Torro/Taigen:  I had to modify the TCB mounting. The stick battery is quite a tight fit, but works nicely! Smoker works like a charm: And, as promised, my gift to the community! The STL files for both the Kingtiger and Tiger 1!

I was much too busy building a lot of (non OP related) RC tanks.. I recently got several commisions for OP builds again.. So i will start my investigation on the Gyro lock i still have lying around.. Keep you posted!

Any more progress on files for the the 3D printed mounts for OP, RX, and TBS? Hi Shad, Yes.. I now also have a full interior for the Torro Kingtiger AND the Tiger.. Shame the TCB is discontinued by Hobbyking.. But i still have plenty lying around! I will scrape the files together and post them tomorrow!
