Title: PPM cable for Spektrum receiver question
Post by: Tom on March 12, 2017, 05:43:43 PM
At first I am going to use my Spektrum Dxi6 there is a little port for a PPM mini 3 pin connector
with Red/Black/Grey wires as shown in the jpg...In looking at the pins on the TCB is this correct?
(It looks like the + - are different than the pins on the TBC= signal positive negative)
Unless the inverted non inverted address this? In my orange receiver there is a little port
on the side but the mini cable is the same as shown. Thanks.

The Spektrum satellites are not supported. As always, read the Wiki first (http://openpanzer.org/wiki/doku.php?id=wiki:tcb:tcbinstall:rx:radioguide#spektrum_jr_dsmx_dsm2). It lists recommendations for compatible Spektrum receivers.

The picture you attached is of a Spektrum Satellite receiver. They are not supported.

I don't know what model Orange receiver you have. Of the ones recommended in the Wiki, the Orange R615X (https://hobbyking.com/en_us/orangerx-r615x-dsm2-dsmx-compatible-6ch-2-4ghz-receiver-w-cppm.html) does not have a port on the side. PPM is output using a standard servo plug (attached to the Batt/Bind slot) and the polarity is correct for the TCB.

If you have something else it's up to you to make sure it works.
