Here is a short clack type loop and a squeak/clack. Both basically without engine sounds if this may be
of some use. I found the clack loop about as short as I can get it where it still sounds random/continuous
over the engine. (Plus there is often a cadence or repetition to an engine or track movement so that often
sounds okay too)

Thanks yes simple either way and I can see with the mouse click how easy that is. The TBS with the loading the whole program just takes a lot more time than the TCB will!

Ugg I do have to stick to "TCB"!  :) My question was just that with the TBS Benedini I have to load the card run the tank see how the volume is
then shut down hook back up reload the whole file for any adjustments. I was just curious with the TCB could it be hooked up to the tank
for instance with it up on blocks- then adjust the neutral turn while connected (I think you can with Elmod)

Nice on the tracks! Seems like with the TBS sound capability it is almost there!  Also a few
overall squeak or clacking loops could switched back and forth for variety.

I must also say again the wiki site and all the other materials are fantastic..I don't think I have ever
seen a more clear and comprehensive manual before! (and still I have questions lol)

Hey Luke..thanks for the reply and feedback! Oh live testing..all I meant was with the TBS you have to assign volumes download it all to the tank
then test/try..just wondering if various settings the TBC can be adjusted while it is active with the tank.

I like the thinking with the track sound..what I have done is when the tank starts to move manually with the BARC left stick.. activate a dynamic track sound that fades in..loops then fades out (clip lengths and volumes all adjustable on the TBS) When timed right it sounds great. So if the trigger of the sound can be automatically done and adjusted as you have it set up to do (% of movement before the sound kicks in) that would seem ideal?

Thanks Luke. That makes sense and good to know (dynamic functions) as they add another layer of adjustability. Great on the TBS
update for elevation sound. But even if it releases later it will still address that issue. I posed this in another post but can one
adjust the TCB in real time with the tank active. Can't with TBS but apparently Elmod can which is a nice feature.

Actually was thinking if set up as a dynamic loop on the TBS it may loop in spite of a min time for random variation. But
I of course can't test that yet! Part of the reason I brought this up is that people using random squeaks on the IBU have
found it less than convincing compared to an integrated sound. Also being able to test the tank live in regard to any sound
or movements is a great option and seems the TCB can do this as well. (hope ;)

Here are two more versions one with lower squeak vs engine ratio and one with clack sound from the Kingtiger at Saumur. Thinking if the min can be set to zero then the option of longer loops (2-5 seconds) can be an option. Also I found in general the dynamic in loop out feature on the TBS is great and assuming this sound is triggered the usual way..the dyn in fades in ..loop..then fade out..and the delay function on the TCB  makes it all smoother and more realistic.

This is a example of a 5 sec track sound played over the engine.. of course the sound loop volume can be adjusted
up or down or volume  or the loop made longer or shorter but to my ear it sounds pretty good.

Just a thought on the track squeaks as I did this with TBS/BARC and it sounds great
but have to manually trigger it on/off and that isn't ideal. What it is is a long
loop of squeaking track movement that is played over the engine/moving sound.
(I also tried it as a dynamic fade in/dynamic loop/dyn loop fade out which was an
attempt to get it to not trigger as you pointed out the instant the tank started moving.)

If the minimum repeat was set able to be set to zeros perhaps then this could also
be an easy option to play a longer loop over the movement sound?

I assume when a sound is triggered using the TBS the dynamic functions will still be the same if set to that? I have machine gun
dynamic loop for repeating fire.. then dynamic out for shell dropping sound when gun stops firing. Also it seems that elevation sound
will take up  one "user sound" in the TBS parameter?

Thanks Luke! I also assume all the dynamic sound functions, mute etc. on the TBS still operate
the same. What I am seeing is on my Taigen Tank..I simply route the Elevation and Turret motor leads
into outboard motor drivers A and B. Saber for motors as outlined. LED barrel flash now plugs into TCB
port. Recoil is running directly from TBS with A4 flash pin so that can stay...and machine gun light wires
simply connect to MG port. Done! (I think :)

Maybe another way or shorter way to ask is: Right now with the BARC/TBS in a slot like Cannon hit.. since I am not doing IR batttle.. I can drop in what ever sound I want and trigger it as a sound only (a trumpet blast etc) Wanted to know if I can do this on the TCB or another slot like Headlight sound etc. Or are only extra slots 11/12 (user sounds 1 and 2) open for a triggered custom sound? Thanks :)

I have been going through the sound section and a tad unsure trying to compare what I am currently
doing with the TCB set up.

I am familiar with the TBS/BARC set up and essentially want to see if I can still do all of what
I am currently doing. I hope this will all makes sense but as you are familiar with the BARC
and perhaps it is a simple as a "yes" :)

The BARC has Position 1 on right stick up/ throttle.
The left stick has similar positions as you have on the TCB

At the moment I have the engine start which is R stick pos. 1 flip up doing a cold crank
which turns the system on but no engine start up (allowing smoker to warm up)

Cannon has to be position 4

MG has to be position 5

Turret has to be 6

Elevation has to be 7

I activate the engine start up/shut down with the left stick user definable position 8

The other user definable positions of 10 and 9 I am using as track noise or cold start or some other sound such as a
rev or slow drop in idle (or music etc) I can change it around in the parameter section as all the sounds are saved in the sound file.

Some of these sounds like turret are set to "dynamic in  dynamic loop dynamic out" Cannon" normal" or "mute" for an engine rev or music sound.

My question is essentially would all of this remain the same if I wanted to keep it all
on the two sticks at first and eventually moving some of these sounds or sound/functions
to switches or add additional sounds to switches?

Sorry for the long question but perhaps it will also help answer this question or something similar somebody else may have.

Very nice thanks for all the additional information Luke! I figure I can move gradually into getting it set up the way I have it and then begin
to add or eliminate as I go along. Start with my Dxi then move to a radio with more channels etc.
Currently I am using the BARC /TBS and the left stick to trigger: recoil, elevation, turret along with engine start/stop , a track sound, cold cranking sound. It certainly looks like I can continue to do all of this the with TBC and then add or assign these things and more to other trigger switches etc when I move to a radio beyond the 6 channels! Very exciting on a lot of levels.

Looking at the many TBC functions and options..if the turret rotation pass through is empty, it looks like that slot
could also be assigned to activate the servo on/off switch currently plugged into the gear position on my receiver.
Trying to get familiar with the options.. as the more I used the TBS the more tricks I discovered :)
