Hallo LukeZ
Having not the possibility to make my own Open panzer sound card I had to stick to the Teensy 3.2 and the PJRC audio library and card.
This was great for learning, with help from all the information from the previous discussions.
To me it had the advantage that I could build a simple sound system with the information available, I use the standard sounds available on your site.
One thing however stroke my mind for the following reason, building the Panther I realized that you cannot use the standerd sound of the engine in relation to the throttle only for the following reasons:
- the panther was seriosly underpowerd and had a 7 stage transmission
- This meant for instance if it had to crawl a 30 % gradient it had to work full throttle with a speed of 5 - 6 km/h
- So the relation between the stick of your transmitter and the sound of the engine is not proportional.
I can solve this with the PJRC audio board and an measurement of the amps usign a pololu Amp measurement board, meaning high current high volume low current low volume. Here comes in the stereo handy while I can use one channel for the motor sound only and the other channel for the other sounds, a cannon blast can now always have the rigth volume
There is only one thing which is not clear to me and I'll appreciate it if you can help me with that, what is the signal from the TCB going into the teensy 3.2, port 0 and 1?
For other purposes I use the signal coming straigth from the reiver as integers, so no post processing over there.
Please inform, thanks. In case of questions or remarks  please inform
Regards Kees

Hallo Luke
Thank you for your reaction.
I have some basic knowledge and there are hugh amount of information available on internet.
The best part is the OP TCB you developed it gives a lot of flexibility to use all kinds of solutions and still be flexibel to reconfigurate so you can use them, thanks

Show and Tell / IR battle without apple

Hallo Tankers
This being my first OP project I used the "Jagdpanther" form Heng Long because it is very spacious.
I took every thing out except for the drive train and use the OP TCB instead.
To drive the motors I use an Arduino shield, Dual Channel Hbridge Mosfet, and instead of using the Arduino Uno I use the Arduino pro mini, so it is less bulky
To do so I cut of the pins from the shield and put the mini between the female headers.
I use postion 1 and 2 from the RC output to be read by the Arduino pro mini and process it as an PWM signal for the H bridge
As a receiver I use the FlySky iBus receiver, this is very small and works fine for me.
The biggest investment was the Benedinie sound module.
As for the apple, I didn't like that because it does not belong to the tank. Instead I use 4 sensors, TSOP4838, on the position of the periscopes of the tank. An exception was the front one it gives to less free view, instead I put this one on the chest of the tankcommander disguised as camara.
The hitligths I put in the ventlator opening in the top of the roof, they are hardly visible, only when the give light it is very clear.
To do so i positioned 6 very small red SMD leds under the cover of the ventilation.
The IR led is placed in a small brass tube in the muzzle break, I use the TSAL6100 IR led for this.
The 4 sensors are place parallel and give a 360 degree sensetivity.
The IR led has a range of about 25 meters.
The pictures shows the tank in a small diorama
May be for som other tankers an idee to disgard the "big apple"
Greetings

Open Panzer Help / No engine signal
« on: March 08, 2018, 11:58:22 AM »
Hallo Tankers
In configurating my TCB I have the problem that i do not get the signal for my engines running
The engines are steerd by channel 1 and 2 of the transmitter but there is no output on 1 and 2,   if I set it for RCoutput.
The same if I put it to the build in driver, the driver it self works because if I programm them for turret rotation and barrel elevation it functions
If I put the driving signals on channel 3 and 4 of the transmitter I also get no repons for the engines, but turret rotation and barrel elevation
do function on channel 1 and 2. Reading the radio I get proper signals on all 10 channels.
Porbably some thing simple as settings but sofar I have no idea what I do wrong.
Anybody an idea what I have to do to solve the problem?
thanks

Open Panzer Help / problems connecting TCB
« on: January 21, 2018, 01:54:11 PM »
Can anyone help me with the following,
1- I have istalled the USB drivers according specification
2- I have installed OP config
3- As soon as I try to connect the system starts trying to connect with the TCB but comes always back with the message "disconnected from device"
4- I reinstalled the USB driver more than one time, also in the way proposed by LuckZ on 13 july 2017.
Com port settings are Baudrate 115200, databits 8, parity none, stopbits 1.
System is windows 7
Anybody an Idee how to solve, I have read all the pages on Wiki, I have no more idees?
If the TCB is connected red en green led blink fast, logical radio not connected
