Show and Tell / 1/6 Metalbox Luchs project
« on: February 06, 2019, 06:24:52 AM »
It is about time to share my build.

The project starts from Oct.2018, and I am performing weathering at the moment.
All the electronics are ready.
fuse box, TCB, Benedini TBSv2, Sabertooth 2*32, 2*APO esc, Henglong smoker unit

The systems will use 2*12v acid battery, the drive motors are 2*250 bushed motor.

However, I need to design an internal housing for all the electronics.

Open Panzer Help / Voltage of prop1-3 output for soundcards
« on: February 04, 2019, 07:24:10 PM »
Hi, guys,

After radio’s set, now move to next stage.
I learnt from WIKI the TCB best working voltage is from 7-15V, which voltage is also shared by some TCB ‘s output ports.

The question is what’s the voltage of prop1-3, and radio. Are they constant independent 5v, like most BECs? Or do they also share the same input voltage like other ports?because the Benedini’s working voltage is around 7v.

I could try but I don’t want to risk burning the boards, as it too long for them to arrive.

Thanks in advance

Larry

Open Panzer Help / 24v Battery, Futaba Sbus receiver
« on: January 28, 2019, 09:18:35 AM »
HI, guys.

Just ordered Openpanzer board & Benedini sound system for my Matelbox Luchs project.

However, I just found out that the TCB is connected via SBUS or Ibus, but no standard 1-4 ch cables. and its working Voltage is from 7- 15V.

I wondering if anyone has connected Futaba R3008sb or other Futaba Sbus receiver to the TCB? My radio is the Futaba T10j  and the last thing I want to do is to purchase a new radio.

Also, as for the input voltage, since the tank is powered by 24 acid battery, I certainly need to fit a convertor. However, anyone know the max amp of TCB allows?

the ESC I use is the Sabertooth 2*32.

many thanks

Larry
