I can't quite recall where the photo of what to look for in the proper board soldering is.
Does this board look correct? Brand new and I have the opportunity to buy it so just
checking if all looks good. Thanks..

I just found it was one of the last of the HK boards made..so should be fine!
Glad I was able to acquire another board :))

Hi Osika, just a quick glance at the board will not tell us much, you need a closeup view of certain MOSFETS, and a magnifying glass can help.
Here is a post (http://openpanzer.org/forum/index.php?topic=186.msg1547#msg1547) that shows exactly which components need to be examined. If you can read "23EG" on the MOSFETs, then they are the wrong ones!
Hobby King claimed to have fixed the issue but in fact some people received faulty boards up until the very end. You won't know till you get the board in your hands, but let's hope it's a good one!

Hi Luke,
Thanks! The seller is going to look and test it board.
I was intending to buy one..waited until the kinks were all worked out
then found HK stopped making them..but I have so far found 3 for sale and feel fortunate to have been able to!
It is truly a great product and as much as the actual board is the wiki that goes along with it.

Does cannon flash work with defective boards? Or another way.. is what does not work with faulty HK boards?
-
If the board has the wrong MOSFETs, none of the light outputs will work (Aux output, L1, L2, Brake, MG), the IR transmitter will not work, the IR notification LEDs will not work (these are the LEDs inside a Tamiya apple), and the mechanical recoil/airsoft output will not work. That is a total of 8 outputs that will not function.
Ironically, the high-intensity flash will work (it uses a different component).
-
Okay thanks Luke. Hopefully all that will work but worst case the flash and servo recoil is what I really need and the rest
is nice but I can do without. Will let you know how the incoming boards function.

All the MOSFET'S have GFDMR written on them.

I think you have the correct MOSFETs! Enjoy the new board.
